The Fisher Space pen was designed by Paul Fisher and was first used in Space by astronauts on Apollo 7 in 1968.
This Fisher space pen has been cleverly designed to look like a bullet and it is housed in a genuine .375 brass bullet shell casing.
The casing is raw brass without a finish applied just as a bullet is. This means that over time it will develop its own unique colour and look.
The pen measures 10.3 cm when closed and 11.7cm with the cap posted. When the cap is closed it is an ideal size to carry around with you and with the cap posted it has a nice balance and feel to it.
The .375 bullet shaped space pen has the now legendary sealed pressurised refill with black ink and a medium tip.
It can write upside down and at any angle as well as in extreme conditions from -34 degrees C up to 121 degrees C. Not only can it write in outer space but it can even write under water or on wet paper and over grease.
This pen can be refilled with Fisher Space Pen refills that are available in black, blue, brown, burgundy, green, red, purple turquoise, silver & ultra violet which have a medium tip. The black and blue are also available with a fine or broad tip.
The pen has a life time guarantee and is supplied in a Fisher branded box.
