Faber-Castell was founded in Germany in 1761 and started off making wooden pencils. With a 250 year heritage of craftsmanship and quality, today they are widely respected for their range of high quality writing instruments. They still make their flagship pencil, the Faber-Castell 9000, which has stood the test of time as it was first made in 1905 and remains as popular today as it ever has been.
