The good folks at Pilot Pens have generously agreed to sponsor this month's giveaway by offering one lucky reader a Down Force ballpoint pen.
These are Pilot's pens for people who tend to use their writing instruments a little more ruggedly. They have a utilitarian-but-sexy look and a solid, spring-loaded clip that seems perfect for clamping onto pockets, clipboards and notebooks. They also use a plunger system that automatically pressurizes the ink cartridge when depressed, ensuring a consistent ink flow so they'll write at any angle and under wet conditions.
While Pilot refers to the pen as 'tactical,' it does not have a metal barrel and is not designed for self-defense, as tactical pens generally are. However, it's constructed of sturdy plastic and will float, according to Pilot.
(Check out the Japanese Pilot Down Force page for a better look at the pen.)
To win yourself one of these cool pens, all you have to do is leave a comment below. The contest is open until Dec. 31, and the randomly selected winner will be announced Jan. 2. As always, the giveaway is open to international entries, one per person.
Good luck to all!
