Space Pens

Space Pens

The original Space Pen was invented by Paul Fisher and was first used in space in 1968. The pen contained a pressurised refill that allows it to write in zero gravity, upside down or at any angle, in extreme temperature from the very cold -20 degrees C to an extremely hot 120 degrees C, underwater and even on grease. Fisher still dominate the pressurised pen market but there are a few other manufacturers who make pens with pressurised refills that have the same characteristics as the Fisher Space Pens.
